Facts: Greg Thom is a liar. Period. The written documentation on this site, alone prove this fact. Take a look at our Greg Thom page for just a few examples. Greg Thom has been under investigation for his sleazy personal role in discriminating and retaliation against students since July 2004. He remains under investigation, at this very moment (April 2007), by a law enforcement agency of the United States Department of Education for his personal role in refusing to turn over records as required by Federal law! One of Capella's attorney's from the law firm of Drinker Biddle, "Capella Stella" Fey Epling even made an unethical attempt to write a letter exonerating Greg Thom from this FACT but failed. Lest we forget, Greg Thom and Capella University have still not turned over the required records nearly three years after the initial demand was made for them. In addition to the fact that Federal Law requires that Capella do so within forty-five (45) days (!), Capella has also chosen to ignore the demand for the production of these same materials, that were made as part of one of the current lawsuits pending against them, that was made in December 2006. Obviously, shyster Greg Thom and Capella have something to hide!

 

As it is a fact that Greg Thom has lied to the court, as well as to numerous others, we're looking forward to the day when the court has determined that Greg Thom has committed perjury.

Fact: Even now (April 2006), an investigation is still being conducted by the United States Department of Education and Greg Thom's personal role in Capella's ongoing refusal to turn over education records is an integral component of that investigation.

 

No one ever stated that Greg Thom sent a letter to the Plaintiff regarding Capella's bogus "refund" so why is Greg Thom wasting the court's time? Fact: Greg Thom personally informed others at Capella University that a check had been issued for "legal reasons." As such, it cannot be considered a "refund." Furthermore, that check was never cashed - and Capella University knows that. In addition, Capella University is also aware that the check which Greg Thom had sent due to "legal reasons" (Capella's own terms - not our's) was only valid for a few months and that money; therefore, is still in their coffers. We will post the hard evidence that documents these facts at the appropriate time.

 

Once again, Greg Thom vomits his spittle at the court - no one ever stated that the plaintiff "could be re-admitted to Capella simply by 'paying his bill'. " Of course, this is merely another attempt by Capella's chief shyster to hide the fact that he is a liar. Here are the facts (these facts have also been noted elsewhere on this site but we're providing them, again, to demonstrate that Greg Thom is a liar): As evidenced by the following e-mail that Greg Thom sent the United States Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights, very clearly stated that Capella "intend[ed] to reply to [the] message by telling [the Plaintiff] that our offer still stands, and he may re-enter the program on the conditions previously spelled out by Dean Linberg." "From: Thom, Greg [Greg.Thom@Capella.edu] Sent: Wednesday. December 29, 2004 8.43 AM To: Farr, Mark Cc: Viechnicki, Karen. Linberg, Kurt Subject: FW Demand for FULL Access to Capella “ University ” iGuide, Courses, etc Greetings. Mark Happy Holidays. Attached below is the latest communication from [plaintiff]. In light of your investigation. I am giving you a “head’s up” as to our thinking on how to handle his latest request. If you object or disagree, please let me know. As you’ve learned during your investigation, our offer [plaintiff] to invite him hack on a directed study basis starting January 1, 2005, if he agreed to abide by Capella’s Learner Code of Conduct. Although that is not what he is requesting in his note below, we intend to reply to this message by telling [plaintiff] that our original offer still stands, and he may re-enter the program on the conditions previously spelled out by Dean Linberg. Thanks, Mark. Regards. Greg Thom"   Fact: Greg Thom lied to OCR and neither he, nor anyone else from Capella ever wrote to the Plaintiff as he so clearly told OCR. This fact is further documented by a letter he wrote a few months later to the United States Department of Education which also very plainly states: "His record request was received on July 10th, 2004. At that time, he was still enrolled, and [sic] review of his case by the ASC was currently in progress. He was not officially disenrolled [sic] until 1/3/2005" In other words, Greg Thom intentionally lied to OCR because, just five days after he told OCR Capella would respond (they never did) they threw the student out of their "school." Of course, neither Greg Thom, nor any other of the jerks and liars at Capella ever told that to the student - or to OCR! Comportment Policy Nonsense Oh give us a break Greggy! Why don't you tell the truth to the court about Capella's pernicious "Comportment Policy" demands! Facts: You and Capella had already started your retaliation against the student under Capella's bogus "comportment policy" which was merely an excuse for your illegal actions. Unlike your implication that it is "applicable to everyone at Capella", you and your thugs demanded that student write and sign an "agreement" - that is NOT something that Capella demand of all of their other students. Greg Thom is too much of a sleazy shyster to have written such an agreement himself and, assuming that the student was willing to waive his rights and agreed to be subjected to further abuse by Capella's vile actions (which he did not do), Capella would have still refused to allow that student to participate in classes. This was clearly done to further circumvent the student's rights to discuss Capella's bigotry against those with disabilities in presumably "graduate-level" courses on software design! Let's not forget that this is just one example as to how Greg Thom's and Capella's act to circumvent students' First Amendment Rights and to intentionally hinder highly appropriate discussions about Capella's incompetence in selecting software.

 

As Capella's chief shyster, Greg Thom consistently demonstrates his gross inability to address the FACTS and yet he continually tries to change the subject from the fact that he is a liar.
